Simple recipe for homemade biscuits:
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup milk
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the cold butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the milk. Stir until just combined and a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently a few times until it comes together.
Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter or a round cookie cutter to cut out biscuits.
Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each biscuit.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and puffy.
Serve warm with butter, jam, or honey.
Enjoy your homemade biscuits!
